Rakhi Sawant In Trouble AGAIN For Showing Sherlyn Chopra’s Objectionable Videos To Media? Bombay High Court Orders Police To Delete Them
Internet sensation Rakhi Sawant loves staying in the limelight. While she never shies away from expressing her views unabashedly in front of the world, it has also gotten her in a hoard of trouble. In 2022, she had made the headlines by holding a press conference, where she had gone on to show objectionable videos of actress Sherlyn Chopra. The duo had gotten into an ugly fight, when the latter had filed cases against MeToo accused Sajid Khan and Raj Kundra.

While, as time went by they buried their hatchet and were planning to work towards the betterment of women, Sherlyn had filed a case against Rakhi for which she was arrested. In a fresh development, the Bombay High Court has now ordered the Mumbai Police to take necessary steps and delete all the obscene videos the Main Hoon Na actress made public. As per the report by India Today, Justice Anuja Prabhudessai during the hearing on Friday, questioned Rakhi’s lawyer, why the actress indulged in showing the videos. She went on to stress that “ethical standards have to be maintained.” The court has asked the Mumbai Police to share an update on if there are videos from the press meet available on YouTube, by Tuesday. They also need to inform the court about the steps they are planning to take to delete the content. ALSO READ: Rakhi Sawant ENDS Her Dispute With Sherlyn Chopra? Rakhi’s lawyer went on to state during the trial that only Section 67A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was imposed on the actress for “transmitting obscene videos.” The victim’s lawyer was questioned by the Justice if those videos were leaked by Rakhi to the media. She had added. “How will police investigate defamation? The FIR does not say that the media has circulated all this. The FIR says that the video is already available. It was on YouTube.”

The victim’s lawyer went on to stress on the fact that Rakhi had shown the private video, which is not available on YouTube, at the press conference where she had gone on to defame the victim. For the unversed, the videos have now gone viral. The bench then instructed the officials to look into the matter and delete every “obscene video which now can be seen by the public.”

The bench has also asked the public prosecutor to gather more details on the matter and that they will hear the petition on March 28.
